ROLLS-ROYCE OPENS FACILITY
IN VIRGINIA
Rolls-Royce North America has opened its first jet engine component manufacturing facility in Virginia. The Rotatives factory is located on the Rolls-Royce Crosspointe Centre in Prince George County, Virginia. Manufactured turbine discs and related aerospace components will support a variety of programs, including the jet engines for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, Airbus's A380 and the A350 XWB. Rotative Blisk manufacturing will be used for state-of-the-art jet engine technologies in both civil and defense aerospace segments.
