UNIVERSITY EDUCATION
Virginia has a comprehensive higher education system that includes world-class universities and an extensive community college system with associate degree programs. It is extremely rich in its university offerings, ranging from large public research institutions to small private colleges. More than 500,000 students are enrolled in the state's higher education system.
